My husband called me earlier and said that people had been limited to buying £20 and no more that's not going to go far in a Scoob. Looks like we'll have to borrow a diesel to do the 6 hour trip to Wales for the rally.

Yep, but I suppose if there are blockades it will take the government a few days to react by which time some garages will have run out of petrol again.

Tail backs everywhere in Bradford / Keighley. Must admit I HAD to fill up this evening as I was running on fumes but noted a sense of agression as motorists appeared to jocky for position. Took me no more than five minutes though.
Bit late to warn about panic. Fact is it's set in, the pumps are nearly dry round by me.

I wonder how many people have filled up with Optimax or the high RON petrol only to leave it full for the next few weeks? It's common knowledge that the higher RON petrol loses RON after a certain time.

I think people need to get a grip and be rational.
Stations are running out because people with half tanks are topping up even though in a lot of cases half a tank may last as much as a week.
Not everbody drives 20ish mpg motors like most members on this site.

Not too bad here thank f*ck.
Some people were queing at the Shell garage, I filled up today with normal unleaded and it was 92.9 that's not too bad to be honest, they were dearer a few weeks ago.
