Extended warranties
Just received my Subaru renewal quote.......£864 for 12 months
Needless to say i will not be taking them up on their o.t.t. warranty.
What was interesting is that the P1 cost 1200 quid so long as it had less than 60k on the clock.
This says to me never buy a P1 with anything close to that as you are almost guaranteed a big bill.

I agree its a bit of a concern that P1 renewal is £1200.
But I thought the 60k thing is standard, my P1 when new had 3 years warranty or a maximum mileage 60k.
At 3 years it was extended for a further 2 years, but again with a 60k limit. I thought that a bit harsh but as I do 12k a year didnt worry to much.
At the end of year 5, I could extend for a further 1 or 2 years (at £1200 per year)mileage limit up to 80k. Everything covered except a few trim bits.
Why the cost should be higher, P1s have had a few issues with some crunching into 5th gear and scratches appearing on the sidewindows from the electric motors.
Some engines have let go, dont know if its a higher % than similar uk cars of the same year 2000, which I believe were 220bhp.
