Default Warranties Online

Hi all,

Just had my warranty renewal through from Subaru at £850, so decided to shop about.

Got a price from warranties online at £283, which covers all major components and includes AA cover. Has anyone here used them and made a claim?.

Thanks

Jason

Sounds very cheap to be honest. Most online companies want to know what type of car if it has a turbo, air con etc. Is that the actual quote? Also are they reputable or will you have to take them to court every time you need to claim?

I paid £680 for 2 years cover on my scoob with motor plan. Dont have a clue how good they are though!!!

Ask them if they have ever paid a claim where the main or big end bearings have failed. A truthful answer would be: 'no; we use an independant engineer to assess the claim and they always attribute the failure to wear and tear....(or a design flaw where the oil pump has failed...)' Id think long and hard if I were you.

The AA do one whereby if the car breaks down and they have to recover you they pay for all the repair costs, if you are already with them it's £99 for the year. Maybe worth a look.
