Default Car damaged at work

Hi, my Impreza was damaged whilst parked in my employers car park, It was hit by a fellow employees vehicle (b*stards). There are no 'you park at your own risk . . ' signs posted. I have spoken to my employer whose stance is so far that they don't cover damage to personal property damaged on their property.

Any ideas if/where I can go from here??

Thanks

Steve

If you can find out who hit it then it's up to them / their insurers to sort it out. I assume whoever did so didn't own up. If it's a big company you work for then it may be difficult to figure out who did it. Any CCTV cameras in your car park?

If there are no disclaimers posted up, then whether its company policy or not, the law will find that they are resposible, if they own the land that the car was parked on.

This happened to a collegue of mine, he claimed from the company, now there are more disclaimers here than you can shake a stick at

It happened well over a week ago, so I don't think anyone will confess now. My car is well known as the only Scooby about, so I guess who ever has done it hasn't the bottle to admit it. There is CCTV, but not pointing at where I was parked, sods law.

If this is true wish I 'd known about this a year ago when some B*****d walked over the roof of my peugeot whilst it was parked at my place of work where the cctv cameras point at the buildings not the car parks.

Are you suggesting this may NOT be true?

No, just querying the legal responsibility of employers for employees vehicles parked on their property. I belive it does apply to car parks that charge you and so can't wangle out of responsibility but wasn't sure about employers premises.
