Intercooler Spray Pipes
Does anyone know a simple way of routing the water delivery pipe for an ic spray under the car? (MY04WRX Wagon)
I have followed all the good advice on here but stumbled at the final hurdle. I assumed that I could just ty-wrap the pipe to a brake pipe or similar but they are all routed internally which means taking up the carpets and all kinds of messing about!
All the other bits work fine. Hozelock mister nozzles, Maplin timer. Got a washer bottle with integral pump from Holden Vintage & Classic. Bit on the small side but easy to mount in the boot.
Any advice gratefully received!

I installed an STi system in my wagon and it wasn't much trouble to lift up the trim.
If you want to install under the car then the hose will also have to be ducted or protected to stop it being punctured.
Sounds a lot more hassle than putting it in the way it was intended?
The esay way around this is to get hold of a water bottle from a newage JDM STi or spec C as they mount in the engine bay. The install was far simpler.

Vapour pressure of water increases with its temp.
Warmer water spray will absorb heat at same rate as iced water but will flash to vapour at a higher rate, so removing heat energy quicker from IC.
BUT the spray water shouldn't be warmer than the IC otherwise the heat transfer goes the other way.
