Hi,
New here, just signed up a few days ago as I'll be buying a new WRX, thought I should read up a bit. Just got off the phone with a local(ish) dealer and he sent me these pics.
Cheers.

I'll echo that
Now all we need is a special edition STi to see the '05 out and ready for the '06 - I guess this is what Prodrive were referring to as a "solution" to the infernal insurance & PPP problem. Presumably these will be a new "model" recognised by ABI (?) like the WR1, even if PPP is retrofitted after registration. Unlike the current offer were it is a WRX or STi plus PPP.

didn`t think the WRX had the back wheel arch extensions anyway!!
people will really get confussed with this and think it`s got 300bhp like some numpty`s thought about the UK300

I think it is the people naming it 300 when it isn't that are the numpties. £21495 will near enough get you an STi 05 with DCCD from Alliance IIRC. Or under £20000 for an Evo 260 IIRC?

Seems to me like they are just clearing the shelves for the 2006 models...hmm let's add some tacky seats, yellow stickers & a PPP to a standard WRX and fool people into thinking it's got 300bhp.

I have to say, this really is a pretty lame 'special' car. Compared to the standard WRX (which, as has already been pointed out, comes with a free PPP now anyway), it looks like you get:
- different coloured wheels ('ooohh')
- Subaru logos on the seats ('aaahhhh')
- an extra badge on the back ('woooo')
- fog lamp covers ('yaayyyy')
- and, to cap it all, an aluminium effect gearknob! Yes, that's right, effect! Does the word 'stingy' spring to anyone else's mind?
Might still be good for insurance, though - if it counts as an unmodified car then for reasons we never seem to find out, it could work out a fair bit cheaper to insure than an absolutely identical WRX that wasn't 'born' with the PPP. Maybe Subaru should be complimented for having the foresight to help out in that way - but calling this car 'special' is pretty naff.

Re the insurance we'll be quoting it as an unmodified car...we're also fully aware of the spec etc...

Wot another crap Ltd edition by IM? Why not just bring in a JDM model instead of being such skinflints sticking bloody stickers on it or taking the odd part from the STi parts bin. Tight ba$tids!
