Default AM Radio reception

Hi

I have a 2000 Xreg wagon with the standard 6 changer cd system, but the problem I have is with the AM radio reception, i'm an avid TalkSport listener but the AM reception on my radio is awful, the worst part being that I get that engine rev noise interference through the radio.

I was wondering if there is anything I can do to sort this out.

Thanks

Rich

Have you tried a suppressor? Don't think they cost much...

I had heard someone talk about one of those before, but being as mechanically minded as your average sheep could someone explain it a little more, i.e where to fit, how easy to fit etc

Cheers

I think it's just a little connection you attach on the +ve wire going to your stereo. It "cleans" the dirty voltage - resulting in the engine noise not being heard

Probably not a very technical explanation, but that's the basics... I think...
