Was wondering why after Autocar wrote a fairly interesting article concerning the handling purity of the Impreza over the rear-engine 996C2 and others- why now can the 911 Turbo do no wrong and suddenly be considered the worlds best handler. Certainly a wider track and a turbo engine do not challange the laws of physics? Or have Porsche finnally figured out a way to raise the 911's limits so high that for this car there does not exist a road circumstance which will catch it out?
Simon? Mr. Palmer?

I don't know maybe because the 996, 911 Turbo is 4wd and the 996, C2 is 2wd (hense the C2 as).

Point taken about 4WD on the 911 Turbo, but still John Barker at Evo had previously compared the 911C2 v 911C4 at MIRA and found that the 911C2 was more faithful, predicable and progressive car on the limit than the 4. So if anything the C2 might have done better in Autocars test than the 4 anyway. So back to the wider Turbo being the best handling car in the world?
