hi can anyone offer some advise please...

have recently developed a notchy gear change, which seems to be getting worse. 2nd, and third are quite notchy and first is becoming more resistent to selection when cold and moving even very slow.(1st also whines)

does anyone know if this is a case of a simple recon job or is it a better bet to just replace the whole gearbox?

the car is a jdm my95 wagon.

also is the gearbox from the saloon jdm from the same year the same?

someone told me the wagon has a closer ratio, so would i need to find a gb from a wagon?

i have heard people talk of checking compatability from codes etc.. can anyone advise?

the gb i found is £400 which seems fair to me, am i mistaken?

all advise would be welcome because at the moment im in the dark.
