Advice needed?

Default Advice needed?

Im looking for some advice....

I hav just purchased a very well looked after std MY00 and im looking to spend some money modding it.

I have around £1700, and I dont know what to buy first?

I want to add some style to the car, with some alloys, a High level spoiler and some eibach springs. This leaves me with around £700 - £800 to spend.

What do you recomend I should do:

Option 1:Upgrade with a green / sti pannel filter. Then a full de-cat Blitz exhaust. However if I do this do I need to get a remap?

Option 2: Filter, cat back system, boost gauge, knock link.

Option 3: Filter, back box, boost gauge, knock link, ugraded brake pads

Any advice or other options are much appreciated.

Can't help to much, but i know that if a full de-cat goes on, it improves performance no end, but noise levels go up quite a bit as well and also come MOT time, a cat needs fitting to pass. Not sure 100%, but i think when you change the exhaust, due to the increase in airflow, a remap will be advantagious. I prefer spending money on the styling first and when totally happy with the low slung look, with nice alloys etc, then i have spent the money on performance. I found when i had 18" wheels, the road noise was high, it tram lined alot and i felt every little bump, so fitted 17's and am much happier. thats all i can offer im afraid
