Default New guy, help!

Hi Ladies and Gents.

I'll try and keep this short. I'm a biker, I have 2 bikes, a sports bike and a Supermoto. My better half and I have an Audi TT but we need a second car. The main reasons are I want to tow my bikes to track days and we need to get the dog (and future child) in the car.

I'm looking at the Imprezza Turbo Estate, is there anything I need to look out for?

Thanks.

Avoid an Import

Avoid a Modded Car

Avoid an older one than a MY99 - they got much better in 1999

Avoid the hideous Bug-Eye

Avoid an Impreza that has been tracked

Avoid Gay Gold Wheels (or get £800 knocked off to fund some proper wheels)

Avoid an Impreza with more than 2 owners

Avoid an Impreza without a FULL UK Service History

Abide by the above and you will be onto a bargain - certainly a wagon is a MUCH MUCH better secondhand proposition

All IMHO of course

Pete

Take care with advice from pslewis. I have a Turbowagon as we call them. But it might be that a Legacy estate might better suit your needs especially if you need to carry stuff to trackdays with child and dog.
Truth is the Wagon is really one of them "lifestyle" estates.

Ditto,

99 Green Turbo estate best car I've ever owned, including Sti Type UK and current MY05 WRX SL with PPP.

Would love another just for track days...But i live in the real world 'almost'.

Nothing wrong with imports, may cost more to insure and probably require a remap for uk fuel, normally high spec (more toys and performance)

Nothing wrong with mods as long as they have been done well and by reputable specialists

MY99 onwards were better spec both uk and imports

Bug eyes - some good bargains out there and better built not quite as fast due to extra 150kgs

How you would find out its been tracked I dont know

Gold wheels down to personal taste but they seem go enough for the SWRT who know a few things about impreza

2 owners I know a three owner car and immaculate owned by 3 sidc members and has full prodrive kit

Yep I would look for a full history car

All IMHO of course
