Default Car jack at gunpoint

Not a scoob......

"Car taken at gunpoint Jan 28 2005

Masked men stole a car at gunpoint outside a house in North Street, Atherstone, last night.

The two men opened the doors of a black Vauxhall Astra as the driver and passenger parked outside the house.

Officers are investigating the possibility that the crime could be linked with similar offences in Princethorpe on Wednesday when other vehicles were taken at gunpoint.

In last night's attack, the men demanded wallets and mobile phones before forcing the pair out of the car at gunpoint at about 10.30pm. Then, one attacker hit the driver over the head with the gun. It is believed the other robber was carrying a canister of pepper spray.

The two robbers then drove off towards Atherstone town centre in the stolen car.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the robbery, or has any information about the black car, registration number N17 THT.

Anyone who can help should ring Atherstone CID on 01926 415000, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."

I also heard that a Scoob was taken at gunpoint today/yesterday from rugby. Anybody know anymore of this?

I stand corrected. A Scoob was used in an attempted robbery on a Misti Evo....

"Armed men in attempted car theft
Masked men armed with crowbars tried to steal a car in the West Midlands.
Two men wearing balaclavas in a Subaru smashed the locked gates of a house in Maxstoke Lane, Meriden, on Sunday, which disturbed the householder.

One of the men broke his kitchen window with a crowbar and demanded the keys to a Mitsubishi Evolution parked outside.

The car keys were thrown through the window but the men fled after they were unable to deactivate the vehicle's security system.

Police are appealing for information on the attempted theft which happened at about 0030 GMT."

Both are true. My comment at the bottom of the first was not accurate.

Any spelling mistakes?

I see, I misunderstood, I thought when you said, "I stand corrected. A Scoob was used in an attempted robbery on a Misti Evo...." I thought the first story was a mistake - sorry about that!

In story 2 - if they ran away when they couldn't disable the car then I'm sure that (crowbars or not) they would run away when me, my Alsation and Magnum went to have a chat with them!

I take it that your reffering to a large bottle of champagne (which coincidently is what you appear to have drunk whenever you post on SN..!)

If not I hope the old bill you were pissing off yesterday aren't watching, on ticket or not..!

PS why bring your wife into this..?

Har har. Nice one.

And by the way, as a side thing, "magnum" is not a specific caliber. It's a descriptor, like calling a car "GT". It also doesn't tell you much about the caliber, except that it's been developed by modifying another, less potent one. Point of proof, the ".44 magnum" is developed from the ".44 special", the ".357 magnum" fom the ".38 special", the ".45 magnum" from the ".45 ACP" etc...

It's not a really one then is it, not unless your in the special forces as well.

LOL it's a bit 'pot calling the kettle black' for you to say she's done nothing wrong to deserve such an attack... maybe you should think more about your posts in future as I'm sure most of the people you have tried to shoot down on this forum are equally undeserving..!

Neither, Wall's Magnum.

Thrown with enough accuracy a choc-ice on a stick can cause a nasty freezer burn and, if it lodges in your pants, a nasty case of frostbite!

You get the feeling we don't belive your Magnum claim?? Been racking my brain and only thing i can think of you're either a spook (but they don't use revolvers) or a sky marshall (again wrong weapon) or the sky in your world is pink with spots!!!

Back your claim sir or withdraw it forthwith!!!

No you dont Pete; unless youre a (Section 5?) registered firearms dealer, as its a prohibited weapon. The only 'magnum' that you can legally possess is a 3"(+) magnum chambered 12ga.shotgun, and there 'magnum' refers to the shot capacity rather than the load.

What you have is a magnum lollipop you senile old fool; now put it back in the freezer before I tell the matron.

GC8,

Good knowledge my friend! It's a handgun so it's prohibited and therefore i think a Section 1 firearm but not 100%. Sure someone with more knowledge than me can sort it out, I just carry firearms??

He's not withdrawn yet has he??

Happening all over the country my friend and I haven't got the answer to it. Again all i can say is if it happens to you get out of the car and let it go! Seen the damage a round does to the body, wouldn't wish it on anyone here, (well nearly everyone LOL!!)
