Well after having been signed off work last week by my doctor and sitting around at home getting toughly bored.

Finally on Friday some good news arrived.
My insurance company has agreed to supply me with a brand new P1 and sell my old one off as a damaged repairable.
I have to say this makes me a lot happier as I did not fancy driving a car that had been repaired.
My dealer has informed me that he has managed to get me another P1 and it will be ready for collection next weekend.

I would like to commend my Insurance broker (Schofields) for the stunning effort they have put in to resolve this situation within seven days.
I have dealt with a lot of insurance companies in my time, but never have I come across a company such as Schofields that has given such good, fast, friendly and efficient service
and above all else keeping upto date on a day to day basis by telephone/email as things progressed.
Also for supplying me with a very competitive quote in the first place for insuring my P1
I would toughly recommend Schofields to any one looking to insure a P1.
Thanks very much Tom (RUM*) Bottle of Whisky on its way..

Finally I would also like to than my dealer (Concours of Haslemere) for there help & support they have given and being able to supply me with another P1 in such a short space of time.
Thanks very much Keith & Robin

I know every one mentioned above has shifted heaven & earth for me, as I envisaged this taking Months to sort out.
But, WOW within 2 weeks I’m back in a brand new P1
I’m eternally grateful to you all – Thanks once again.

Rob Barron
A Happy P1 owner again.

Rob,

Thanks for your comments.

It is a pleasure and basically what you pay a broker to do on your behalf

Lets just hope it doesn't happen again...

Bloody BMW drivers, huh

All the best.

Speak next week.

Cheers Tom

Brilliant news! Good to see that your broker sorted you out.

Could you post the details of the broker? I'd be more than happy to pay a bit extra for that sort of peace of mind.

Would it be worth approaching them to see if they'd be up for a SIDC arrangement? I know we've done this one to death before, and realise the difficulty in arranging this sort of thing, but if the Cosworth boys (and girls) can get such a good deal, shouldn't we be able to do something?

Back to the plot: made up for you. Shame it happened at all, but brilliant news that it was sorted out so quickly! Good luck with the neck and back and all that.
