Cool Oval or round

Am looking to put a Magnex cat back on my WRX.

Is there a sound difference between the 6x4 oval and the 3.5 single round?

I am looking to release the deep burble and not have it sound like a dodgy Nova/Saxo.

I have a magnex 6x4 oval on a MY00. i personally really like the note from it. Its not very loud on cruise so it doesnt intrude much around town or motorway driving. You definetly get the deep burble from the boxer and it sounds great when your driving hard, plus its looks great too.

Not sure if its sounds any different to the 3.5in single, I have not heard an impreza with one of these

I wouldnt have said so, certainly not a noticable difference cos the pipework is still the same diameter upto the exit pipe AFAIK. The exit pipe is more for show than performance.

As for Oval or round... personal choice. If you have a scoob, it will never sound like a Nova or Saxo!!!
