Default dash trim removal

I have a STi MY03 and need to know how to remove the top dash section that houses the clock. It seems that the section should just pull out, but dont want to force it and break any clips.

the reason is to run the wiring for the road angel from behind the dash up to this point so the cable doesnt hang about everywhere.

ALSO any ideas who does a manual for this car? (tried Haynes - no go)

Any advice greatly appreciated.

To remove the dash top pod sit in the passenger seat.Take a firm hold under the lip of the recess where the Clock & Alarm led are with both hands.Pull sharply vertically upwards. It is VERY tight as you have to part six lugs from their slots.
DONT LEVER WITH A SCREWDRIVER YOU WILL KNACKER THE SURROUND

1. Hole for Alarm LED housing.
3. Pod mounting lugs. (Six in all)
7. Socket for Clock plug.

Taken from A PICTORIAL GUIDE TO FITTING A VFDS 1004 SECS MONITOR TO A 03 WRX.

View once pod is removed.Ignore the SECS Monitor wiring (5 & 6) & the new mountings (2).
1. Alarm LED without its housing.
2. Screw thread fasteners. (Four in all)
4. Locating pips. (Two in all)
5. Twelve pin Connector 2. (Shift light pin 1 & pin 2)
6. Five pin Connector 1. (OBD)
7. Clock plug.(No longer required)

Can't help with the manual.Possibly a CD type one on EBay?

Mark.
