Unhappy Any bodywork experts out there?

hi all, had the STI for just a couple of weeks when...

had an estimate from a body shop who want £1k to fix it , cutting out and replacing the entire door skin! seems overkill for a couple of dents that dont look that bad.

anyone out there have a more realistic idea what should be involved in fixing it, or any recommendations for a body shop in the south east that can do a good job without adding insult to injury?

Unhappy That is just terrible

If you would have gotten an 04 it wouldn't have been so wide back there.

just kidding.

That is really too bad. If it is too close to the edge of the door they cant get inside the door panel to bang it back out. Does your quote cover the wide bumper thing over the wheelwell?

A company called 'Littleknocks' might be able to help you. I havent dealt with them personally but they seem to have a good reputation.

www.littleknocks.co.uk

Isn't t'internet brilliant?

actually it includes some panel beating on the rear quarter as well which i don't think is needed, i'm not sure they realised it's just plastic. The bodywork itself is the same as the 04 car as far as I can tell, the plastic bit just sits over the top. there's only a tiny chip under the plastic which only needs to be rust proofed as it's covered up.

will try little knocks, thanks

Thumbs up

Littleknocks are great.

Speak to Chris and he will either do the work for a great price or he will point you in the direction of somebody who can give you a more realistic quote. I have to say that £1,000 seems a little excessive to me! (Somebody scraped down the passenger side of my MY00 and I was charged £600 - wish I'd known about Littleknocks at the time...)

Mark.
