Default What does the (44S ) mean .........

Looking through car sale ads etc and noticed some like this:-

Subaru Impreza (44S ) WRX
Subaru Impreza (41T ) WRX

Default HTH

Bit of an explanation of 44S here.

Presume that 41T is one of the earlier versions

44S - and the other numbers are the Japanese Factory codes - rather than say have a name like 1.8GL Wagon 04MY - they call it it a code - eg 44S - as the models throughout the world market may have different names.

SO: a 44S to a bloke in Subaru Japan tells him exactly what it is.
An Impreza JumpBack Special Edition 1.8 CoolWagon - may mean something to a Aussie but **** all to other markets....but its still a 44S.

Just different world markets rebranding the same product to fit in with their percieved market share.

Capiche.....
