Default question about sva

does the 10 year rule apply to new cars that get 10 years old including the ones that come under the model report. will we still need a report. is any body intrested in doing a group buy for an sti 4 type r model report.

if a car is 10 years old, just bring it in to this country, pay taxes etc. then get some forms from the dvla, get someone in the know to fill them in (for a tenner!), mot and tax the car and off you go!

so even if you bring one thats made, lets say, feb 95, you just stick it on your drive till feb/march and sort it out then.


dead simple, easy peasy.

Yes. When, for example, an STI IV Type R becomes ten years old, you will be able to register with an MOT.

o.k, one more question (and i did not write that messed up post up there ) so if it is a 1997/12 sti 4 type r it won't need a model report when it becomes 10 years old in 2007/12.

p.s if anyone is interested in making a model report for a 1998 type r ver 4 as a groups pls. pm me.

no it won't.


but by then the SVA will have made up more bollocks to stop cars coming in to this country.
