Talking Put my 04 WRX in for PPP tonight...

along with ds2500's, braided hoses & Dot 5.1

I caaaaaaaaaan't wait for tomorrow

damn - i hate running in brakes

I think I'm gonna order a SECS. Expensive (esp. if you add oil press./temp sensor) but nice I think. Handy features and subtler than extra gauges.

and i've got a forrestor 2.0l loaner which i'm quite impressed with if that's what ur after

Virgin,

I'm guessing that the original torque is around 215lbft, the revised figure is nearer 260lbft. Hence the real improvement is in-gear acceleration.

Kevin

P.S. Ready to be corrected

I'd just heat-cycle the pads to make sure, you shouldn't have to worry too much about running in with modern pads.

Maybe pm stockcar as he's a friendly chap and the current resident brake expert- I usually do six gentle stops from 30 - 0, six moderate slowdowns from 50-20, six slightly harder slowdowns from 90-60(ish) then a couple of very hard slowdowns, after which allow the pads and disks to cool with gentle driving before you stop.

Its not a definitive guide to cycling pads, but it works for me, and can be fun- but they may smoke a bit.......

Hope this helps,
Simon
