In a few months, prob spring 05 I will need a bigger car.

I have an 03 WRX at the moment.

I was thinking about a Legacy 3.0R Spec B.

6cyl and 250bhp, plenty of space, good spec and is a decent stealth car.

My question is, will there be anything better coming for the Legacy range? I think JDM gets a turbo version with STi engine and box.

I don't know if they will every get the twin scroll euro compliant but the 3.0 engine is a great engine. I've got a 3.0 Rn Sport Tourer at the moment and with the auto box and its a fanatastic package. The handling is really good even without the Bilstein stuff. The Kenwood stereo and nav system is brilliant as well.

Choices are,

UK, 3.0R

JDM, GT-B spec saloon or wagon, with 2.0 twin scroll 280bhp

Question is, do you want UK or Jap?

The spec B is pretty darned impressive IMHO. The combination of space and pace are great.

Sure the JDM turbo is faster, but the spec B gets most of the pace, plus its a UK car.

That being said, the JDM turbo is quite a deal quicker... Fuel economy on the JDM turbo can be surprisingly good too, IMHO.

I must admit the fuel econemy of the 3.0 is pretty bloody scary...
