Latest update from silverstone is that you have had a result, Slicks will be allowed but only on vehicles in the Experienced group (group C), This is the best i have been able to arrange. so go back and order them slicks, grooved or what ever and book your place , last bookings friday.

Also silverstone instructors will be available to show you the circuit, £10 per session.

This is the final decision so now its down to you.

See you all on the day.

Dave,

Do you need to pre-book instructors or just grab when you can?

Greg,
From what I have read on the RSOC BBS, you can book them after the driver briefing, but no mention was made about in advance...
Best regards

UPDATE TIME…

I have just spoken to Nick at Silverstone, he has been the RS point on contact for the track day. He has given the OK for intermediate tyres to be used, by this they mean road legal intermediates.

So for us boys and the girlies that drive those RS things, we don’t have to be placed in the experienced category.

Danny

P.S. Mike could you post this on the RS board.

Just purchase a ticket on the day and then grab the nearest instuctor and away you go.

Hopefully everybody will be happy now.

Forget Trax, 1 session is just getting the feel of the track, with RSOC you will hopefully get 6 sessions.

Last questions!

Got all my gubbins in the post, do I need to tape my own lights, or is tape provided?

If i need to do it myself, do I have to use a certain width/type of tape?

Looking forward to it!

Don't think it has to be any type of tape in particular. I don't believe that sellotape or masking tape is the idea. Electrical or gaffer & I'm sure you can do it yourself. Colour I believe is up to you as well.

I have found a green tinted clear 2" tape that will go very nicely with my DGM car
