Unhappy

Hello Folks,

some of you are probably aware of the fact that I am currently trying to get shut of my MY00 UK car (a real UK car with 3 year warranty and all...not one of these cheapo euro imports ) to make way for an STI Type R.

It appears that my 7 month old UK car is now worth jack $#!+ so my project will be on hold (unless I can get at least 17.5K for it...which looks unlikely).

Anyway...to rub salt into my wound I was in convoy with a Blue STI V5 Type R v-limited this morning on my way to cambridge on the A14...was it anyone on here ?

if it was you...very nice motor matey

Cheers

Ian (require visit to doctors for anti-depresants..sob)

If you were on the A14, you can't of been going very fast

My car is just having it's first birthday ( Happy Birthday to you, Happy etc etc ) so therefore will be worth even less than yours

However, it has celebrity status (at least in it's own ECU) and that will consequently bring the price up

Mr. Wagon

My car may not make it to its first birthday...it is most upset that I no longer enjoy its company...I've tried to explain that its just not quick enough anymore but its little ECU is not listening...it thinks I have rejected it.

It seemed a little better today after I showed the car its picture in the REDLINE dyno shootout...I can't believe that magazine...its like a bloody porno mag...It will take a miracle to buy it again...there is more totty than cars...

Is there an equivalent of the samaritans that my car could ring...it needs cheering up a bit ?

hehehe

Ian,

Know what you mean - Bought my UK MY00 on 1st March and spent about 6K on extras. After trying out a Type R recently my car has to go - trouble is that I will lose out big time on resale value.

Oh well - I suppose that I could call Bob 'samaritan' Rawle for a temporary reprieve

Rich.

Ian... tough, isn't it...

Btw the Sti 5 v-limited almost certainly belongs to Terry and Chris - a couple from Peterborough who have come along to several of our meets, e.g. Donnington (but no Cambridge ones yet as they don't tend to read the BBS). They also have an FTO and are members of both the SIDC and FTO owners club.

Any luck getting on the Abingdon track day next week?

Cheers
Richard

Thumbs down

Richard,

I may have to give it a miss...

work is pretty hectic at the moment...I can't imagine for one moment that I would be given the day off.

If anything changes I'll let you know.

As the Terry and Chris...I think I know these people...their car was used for the Japanese Performance Car magazine comparison between the P1 and the Type R...their Reg is S?? WRX...v-ltd with OZ SuperTs. I was lucky enough to have VIP passes to the round of the british rally championship held at Grantham on Saturday...Terry and Chris were there...it was good to see them again.

This car had a private plate beginning with 'A' (I think).

Cheers
Ian.
