Default Diff Guard

Before I buy my STI 8 should I spec it out with a prodrive diff guard???

Is it worth it in terms of protecting the car
or would I be better off fitting an aftermarket one myself (cost comparison / level of difficulty?)

Advance thanks !!!

I can't see the point of a diff guard myself, unless you are going to rally.
The only use I can see is that you can jack the car up on the thing without using a bit of wood on the diff.

There is a nice pic of it in the latest Rally X magazine along with a review of the WR1.
Lots of other nice new Prodrive goodies are in it as well like Ohlins suspension
