How much do all these amateur geazers pay for the ex-works WRC rally cars? There was a chap on Sky Sports the other night in T16 SRT that the commentator said was one of Juha's. The poor bugger must skint!!!

Also, after they have parted with what must be a six figure sum what do they get for their money - I would imagine there's no seats and stuff like that but what about engine and gearbox?

Any ideas?

Otis.

Much less than they used to be, residuals have plummeted! He could've got one cheaper from abroad.

Probably.

On our recent trip round Prodrive they stated that the WRC ( all second hand ) were in the region of £225,000 to £250,000 and to participate in the Allstars program was about £2,250,000 per year.

On the recent SEAT Jim Clark Memorial Rally in Scotland, Brian Lyall's Subaru WRC (P6WRC) was reputed to have cost 330k. Still, he did win the National rally, so money well spent
