New rear door skin - how much??!!
Hi there
I've recently obtained quotes for some "minor" bodywork repairs to the 02 Wagon.
For a new skin on the rear door (dent- wind damage) it comes to a wopping £381 plus parts (thats £261 labour and £120 paint & materials) so probably £500 plus in total. This sounds alot to me.
New boot/hatch and bumper £1000 total. This one's an insurance job.
Does anyone have any idea if these quotes are reasonable? My excess is £450 so cannot claim on the door leaving me with a bill of about £950. Any help appreciated.
Wilster.

Think yourself lucky. When someone pushed in the door on my old Corrado it came to £741 + paint and fitting Thankfully I found out who did it, and got a witness so their insurance footed the bill

when my front door got crushed, the total door needed replacing apart from the door card, the parts were £1000+vat and the final bill for the insurance company was near £2000 all in. Still going through my insurance company claiming from the other party.
Its all so much hassle!
