Subaru Warrenty...... Waste of time....
Rant begins...
Had a prob with the aircon, took down to my local dealer and they sorted out the aircon man to come and take a look.
He finds out that the pipe between the Compressor and Condenssor needs replacing and regasing etc.., nothing to do with the driver just one of those things.
Phone Subaru warrenty people they say they will not pay as it is a hose and they are not covered...
I dont know if it is just me but they never want pay, in which case what is the point having it in the first place....
just also to add, Bulldog Twoford helped all they could and only charged me cost - Very nice of them :-)
Rant over...
Anyone else had simlar issue with warrenty...?

Quit your moaning and save your warranty for the bigger things when they go

I have to say that my experience so far has been very good.....ive even getting a completely new gearbox out of them!! 5ks worth apparently.....having had 3 identical problems with the original.
I didnt realise that they dont cover hoses tho seems very odd, and almost trivial....good job my samcos are coming in a week!!
Neil.

touch harsh maybe.....:P
A £3,456.75 and a £2,125.92 bill in the space of 5 weeks on a newly bought, FSSH, unmodified, AA inspected car, which was 2 months out of warranty is worth moaning about IMHO
Just trying to put a 'wee air-con prob' into perspective that's all

Being fair, my P1, with only a month's warranty left, had a tiny bit of clutch judder, and I mean tiny. They didn't hesitate, collected it, fitted a new clutch and flywheel, and dropped it back, valeted and spotless. I didn't even buy it from them.. Haxby's in Plymouth, good on ya!

Got a new o/s rear shock being fitted as its binding at 8k miles, they refused to replace the pair which I thought should be done on a suspension component.
That will leave one original shock left, ho hum, have to wait until that one fails.

I've had no problems with the warranty at all, Subaru have paid to replace my wheel bearings and sort a steering rack issue with no hassle whatsoever on a 98 turbo. Do have a problem with a certain dealer though, very bad communications and real lack of urgency, which is the only let down to a generally good service from Subaru. Plus they are quite generous in how long they will let you extend it for, I think.

2 Scoobs, 2 clutches, rear shock, exhaust gas temp gauge - all done under warranty. Can't complain. It does help to know a nice friendly service manager though.
