Question Defi Gauge Question

I have recently had a set of Defis fitted (Oil Pressure, Temp and Boost). When the car is at idle the boost pressure is sitting below zero at around .04/.05 should this not be at 0?

Also I am getting about 7 bar oil pressure, is this correct?

Regards

Marc

It'll be negative on the boost because of the vacum will it not ??
I'm probably wrong.
Oil Pressure sounds fine, that's what mine sits at on my Defis too.

They're OK - at idle the engine is still drawing in air so you will have a slight depression (negative pressure or vacuum) showing on the boost gauge. The gauge should zero (near enough) when the engine's stopped)

For the oil pressure, that seems about right for cold oil - the pressure will drop as it warms up which you can confirm with the temp gauge . Mine goes from approx 7 bar down to about 2 bar when warm, and runs about 5.5 bar when driving.

That's great, thanks for your help.

Another quicker for ya

When I had my car remapped at the weekend the tuner said my Defi Boost gauge was reading .1 bar over what he was getting on Delta Dash. Can I adjust the Boost gauge to read correct or could the Delta Dash reading be the one that is out.

This is because Defi's don't read in BAR - it's a different measurement (can't remember what now ) but is slightly less/more than Bar hence the difference.

Thumbs up

Cheers for that Chris, reason I ask is that I am getting Peak reading of 1.3 and I have been told that the car is set to run at 1.4 mid tailing off to 1.2/1.3 top so this should explain the reading of 1.3 peak on the Boost gauge if it is slightly less than the bar rating.
