Just been informed by Police, that there is a sevear spate of car nicking in the above areas.

They seem to be well organised "BIG BOYS", who are interested ONLY in top cars. Several Cerbera's/LOT's of Scoobies/Escort Cossies (would'nt class Scoobies as TOP cars ) have gone in the past 2 weeks!!!!!

Security don't mean **** to these guys, as cars have gone that have been garaged, CAT1 alarmed and DiscLocked. By all accounts they are being trailerd away!!!!!!!

Be vigilant from these tramps!!!!! If you have a top performance car, dont leave it on your drive, bang it straight in the garage!!!!

Top tip is to leave the car in gear, that way they have to open it to move it. Obviously leave it in gear the opposite, of the way it's pointing. To trailer it away they cut the handbrake cable and just wheel it away. They then nobble the alarm when its too far away for anyone to care...Bast**ds

If they a top thieves they should be able to get inside easily to change the gear. Get a Gearbox lock? Thanks for the warning Shaun.

Cheers Shaun,

I'll make sure that it's tucked away as quickly as possible!

Question

Gearbox locks (Barrier deadlock and Mul-T-Lock always lock in reverse (so I hear), and we're advised to park with the scoops facing a wall. Does this mean it won't be too difficult for them to push it backwards?

Re the Barrier Deadlcok, whats to stop someone pushing the clutch down and rolling the car off, which is what I guess they'd do to avoid starting up the car.

I hope my Scooby with a Cat 1 Alarm, Disklock, locked in my garage where the garage has its own alarm system and a secondary to the house, and a doberman for company will deter some theives I hope.
