Help.......have managed to 1/2 unpaint my splitter via ground contact. It had a few chips anyway but this time the paint just came off in sheets (surface not prepared properly) If it's made out of GRP is there any paint remover that I can use to get it back to bare plastic ready for a repaint which won't burn into it?

 

You could use Nitromorse paint stripper (halfords, B+Q) but only leave it on for a minute, leave it too long and it will eat the gelcoat underneath. You will need to rub the last bits off with wet+dry, used wet, say 400 grit.
