Red face The dangers of owning an Impreza Turbo

I keep reading, seems like every other day on here, about people getting followed, hijacked, mugged, rammed, abused, shot, battered, buggered , shafted, dogged, tickled , or simply looked at, just cause they've got a Scooby.

Well I for one have had no problems in over a year, and I think people need to look at this sensibly. It's a fast car, the odd joyrider will get one, but considering the amount that are out there, and how much easier a mk2 astra gte is to nick, I think it's bugger all to worry about.

I can only see benefits from the above reputation of the scooby - I get to drive fast everywhere, which means that 1. no-one can follow me home unless they are in a much faster car , and 2. if I get caught speeding it cause I was evading hijackers

I work on some of the roughest estates in the midlands in my scooby, and all I get is admiring looks, and not one spot of bother.

So.....DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT - if it happens it happens, but until it does, continue to enjoy your car.#

Rant complete

Also it all depends on the area u live in? like Manchester and Northern England up to Cumbria i would say is a bad area for scooby as there is a lot of hijackers and boy racers that stilkl cars. and south England i would say is better as there is not so many hi jackers about.

My car has something called central locking.... I thinks this would be my best defence against hi-jackers

Because i'm sick of reading people's moans about their Impreza - enjoy it!!!
I know people with really vvank cars that have had them stolen - it's a fact of life - Scoobies are on the whole hard to steal, so don't worry about the one in a million chance a pro will target you, or a hijacker - just batter them

The dangers of owning an Impreza Turbo
Only danger I can see is that of enjoying yourself!!!!!

There's loads of cars out there that attract the wrong attention. Don't get my next statment wrong 'coz I love my scoob - but it's a piece of metal that's insured. If they want it let 'em have it. I wouldn't want mine back if someone took it - just get a replacement. Can't live your life based on what might happen. Just savour the moments you have.

Just a thought. Have read a number of accounts of people having thier scoobs, nicked, hijacked, etc. Got me thinking, not come across many wagons. Is it just me or have the theiving scum just not got any sense of style?.
