Default WR1- How much longer to go?

I've payed my deposit on the WR1 and my local dealer has told me the car has just been registered but he's not sure when it will be with him to be PDI'd although he thinks it may be a couple of weeks.

I've not had any paperwork through yet but I'm getting like a child on the run up to Christmas!

How long did everyone else have to wait?

Thanx

Chris.

Once the car is registered ,after handing in your Insurance details and you receive your log book ,its roughy 11 working days before it arrives at your dealers.

Thanx mate, that gives me a rough date to aim for.

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!

The V5 and the pack with the tax disc holder turned up this morning, so it seems to be moving in the right direction.

Got a bit of a shock when i saw the service intervals tho! :-/

Got a call from my dealer today - my car has been allocated and he's sending them the registration details. Shouldn't be too long to wait now, hopefully.

Not yet - he said it should be 2 - 3 weeks. From what others have said, I am hoping it's more like 2.

My situation is slightly different from other people here as I am not on the UK mainland - so I'm not expecting to receive anything in the post in the way of keyring/documents, etc. That will all go to me dealer I guess - at least I won't have to insure it/pay for it until it arrives.

Finally got in the drivers seat at 3pm.... WOW. Can't fully explain the WOW factor given I have been sticking to the 3k rpm. Love it.

To be honest I've assumed 3k rpm from somewhere. Will check this in the manual later today as it will seriously improve the fun that can be had.

Yes the limit for the first 1000 miles is 4K rpm. I've just picked mine up this morning after it's 1000 miler. The engine sounds gorgeous at 6K rpm

Superb. Was happy yesterday tootling along at 3k rpm. Will be even happier today when I go for a little spin at lunch!!

I've never got such economy out of a Subaru before in my life.

Very happy with the Prodrive flaps... look the business in my opinion.

The garage should tell you to keep it below 4000rpm. I kept it below 3000-3500 till 700 miles. Then I raised it too 4000 till I got the 1000k services @870 ish miles on the clock. Then slowly raised up the revs until the hole rev rage was used This happened at about 1600 miles. I've been told the 1st couple hundred miles are the most important so just warm her up and down properly.
She was a 30quid a day habit till she was run in. Now, I dont look at the receipts nai more...

I'm still chasing my new car, the dealer told me today IM had told them it was waiting to go on a transporter.

I'll keep waiting although hopefully not for to much longer as i had to insure my current scooby as an additional vehicle and that cover runs out at the end of the month.

Has anyone else had the same problem as me and what did u do about it?
