do any scooby drivers wave at EVO's?
as there's such a friendly bond between the two (not) at the mo after top gears test, i just wondered if when you're out and about and spot an evo do you acknowledge it at all?
only asking as an evo driver gave me the thumbs up last week and now i do it to all the evos i see, with quite a lot giving a thumbs up back.
now while i don't think this is an end to any rivalry, i just think it's quite good to see a mutual respect for 2 drivers appreciating each others cars
some people take the old scooby V evo thing a bit far, but personally i'd love to have an evo if i could afford it (only coz it doesn't understeer so much)

Tend to give them a respectful nod or a thumbs up - never a full on scooby wave - It would be like giving up my sun lounger to a German.

I do if and when I see them, but I usually get ignored or get a blank look as if saying 'why?'. Especially the case when I drove a UK 2000. I waved at a couple today coming back from scooby shoot out, even though I was driving a WR1! It's respect where respect is due (talking car to cars)

I guess, like us Scooby drivers, they too have "smile factor" i supose its this that makes the thumbs up seem so relevent. Must say, not many Thumbs going up round here l8ly, Even from Scoobys.
But i do, when i notice...

From an Evo drivers point of view I wave at Scooby and Evo drivers and both are a friendly lot, though i do find Evo drivers don't wave as often, but its probably just the surprise of seeing another evo

I try and wave to both Scooby and Evo owners. I feel so guilty when I miss one who waves/flashes lights at me.
Anyone else feel guilty when they miss a fellow driver wave at them?

I wave to a few Evo drivers (have owned 2 so just kept it going really), but I've got a load of friends who drive them who wave at Scoobs all the time as well.

Although I have had a number of sporty cars before, this was something new to me, and I have proceeded to wave at every scooby I see since then!
Although I did get rather confised when waved at by a Supra...
Anyway, in summary, we're not all miserable buggers!
And I must admit, I did feel a bit guilty about the one that waved at me who I didn't wave back at.

Ahhh....love your scooby and evo mates!
Don't know about some, but us new age drivers do wave....i hate when i miss another guy waving at me....i tend to find the wagons don't wave though!!
As for Evo's, i've only come across one...had a FQ300 behind me, we charged around some fun bends and when he pulled along side to take a different turning it was big grins all round and a wave goodbye...wished we could've stopped for a drink and a natter instead!!!
If nothing else we can smile and wave cos the performance is near as damn it the same but we tend to pay a lot less money like for like!!!

Got a VII FQ300 and ALWAYS wave, though most of the miserable gits don't even acknowledge that I exist. Had the opposite response from the same cars when driving the missusses car though, which is an STi 8
However...
Try waving to another Evo driver and you usually get a 'Oh, you must be one of those little scotes that used to own an Impreza' type of look (usually)
Can't win
Thinking about making some 'Sponsored by BBC TOP GEAR' stickers for it, just to see the response. I would have done it for the shootout today but a) didn't get up in time, and b) there'd have been nowt left of the car when I got back to it
