Default Turbo Timer....

Hi,

Recently brought MY00 and want to fit a turbo timer but heard some affect the alarm system due to the engine still running and immobilised at the same time etc. Any ideas which make would avoid any problems - the alarm system is still the factory fitted one.

cheers

Not that sure about the answer to your question but my insurance company told me that I would be invalidating the insurance if I fitted one. Best ask them if it's OK before going ahead.

Are you sure you don't mean that some alarm systems aren't integrated with a turbo timer so therefore the car will run on unlocked and alarmed until the timer stops?

You therefore have to hang around waiting before you lock and alarm your car.

There are some alarms that have a built in tt though, eliminating this problem.

Your factory alarm I believe would mean the former though.

I dont think I will be changing the standard alarm system for a while so I will just have to sit in the car for a bit at the end of each drive

thanks for the input
