Wanna change my GX for a WRX soon but still on finance is there anyway of settleing this or can i just transfer it to new car and what if i buy private?

new to this finance stuff so need plenty help.

They may well allow a transfer if you are borrowing more at the same time.

Can be tricky selling with Finance in place though depending on the buyer.

Simplest solution is to speak to the finance company and pose the questions you asked here. At the end of the day they all vary !

 

Most finance companies are happy to help as long as there is no negative equity in your current car (i.e. you owe more than it’s worth)
Dealers are usually happy to settle any outstanding.

 

If its a conditional sale and you've paid more than 50% of the total amount then you can give it back and walk away with nothing to pay.
This will be stated (probably in very small writing ) on your contract.
