Question

I have just collected a MY97 Sti 3 as a test replacement for a MY96 WRX.
There is what appears to be an alarm system badged Subaru. The keyfob has UNLOCK/LOCK buttons.

My question is, as it is an import can it be thatcham approved? How can I find out which model it is? .. and finally has anyone got a similar system and had it backed by an insurance company.

Me thinks that I am going to have to buy another one. Doh, more money.

Thanks

Greg

Greg, all imports come with no security at all(unless someone has put an aftermarket alarm/imob on), I had the same problem with my STI5, came with a keyfob with remote central locking but I could open/lock & start the car using the other key(the one without the keyfob), so I had to get a cat1 alarm/imob.fitted.........
