A/P fan switch?
Hi, I have owned my JDM STI7 for a couple of months now and have not yet worked out what this switch does, tried a post in electrical a while ago and no response.
The switch is next to the handbrake has a fan symbol and the letters ‘A/P’ photo link below:

It has a light on the switch that only lights up when the switch is on and the dash board switch fan is also on.
BTW I know the consensus on here is to quote MYxx rather than STIx my car was first registered in 2000 but is a newage JDM Bugeye STI is it MY00 or MY01?
Thanks,
Paul.

As you've already guessed, it's a HEPA filter type thing, like you get on the posher vacuum cleaners nowadays. IIRC there should be a replaceable cartridge either on top of the dash, or underneath on the side of the HVAC box.
Incidentally, your car's an MY01. The MY00 STi's are the classic shape STi6's.
