Question Under bonnet bib.

Does this need to be kept on?
Im on about that cloth thing thats pegged onto the bonnet on the inside. Mine blew away today and the last point where it was held on ripped. So it doesnt stay on no more!
I want to get another (any ideas)? but if i dont get one soon, will it matter?

I would guess it's there for two reasons. Firstly, it will soak up a bit of sound and second, it will probably protect your bonnet from the heat of the engine and stop the paint from fading too quickly.

Pure speculation, I could be talking complete bo110x.

the heat will make the paint crack over time, as it did on my mates corolla (1.6 gti) never mind all the extra heat from a blown motor
