Evnin all, want to get to know the mechanics, running gear, and general systems of the car in detail. any1 know where i can get hold of the above for an STI Type R ver5 99. I know it would be virtually impossible to get a non japanese version of the exact car,, but nearest alternative?

I recently bought a CD of Subaru manuals for Impreza 2001>2003 and WRX Sti 2004 Service Manual from a geeza on ebay.co.uk for £15.

Really useful collection of .pdf files in a browsable format, definately worth the cash. Hope this helps.

You can download them your self on subaru's website, it's about $19 for 72 hours access, but there is about 300 seperate files you need to download and rename !! for the full manual

I'm looking for information on the 2.0 SOHC (non-turbo) engine. Subaru tech don't have this on their site as the model isn't available in the US.

Does anybody know where I can source the manuals for this derivative please?
