£12500 is way over the top. Glass's guide gives the following values for this car:

Subaru, Impreza, 4 Door Saloon, MANUAL, PETROL, 2.0, Turbo 2000

Nearest mileage available: 20,000 miles

Price when new £20,770

Garage/retailer's selling price now £12,610

Trade-in allowances
Excellent condition £10,265

Average condition £9,143

Below average condition £7,936

It'll be rare to find a classic with this low mileage and standard. If you're serious about getting a good one then this sounds good. Offer £11750 and go for £12000. Keep the mileage down and enjoy it.

I paid £12k for my MY00 which had 20K miles on it, but that was 3.5 years ago and 55K miles ago.

I guess you can thank the 3 yr old Subaru used to style the replacement Impreza for keeping the residule values up on the classic shape.

Just part-ex'd MY01 WRX standard car with 22500 miles and in mint conditon for 13k, I know the dealer tho so he has done me a good deal.

Apart from that, I have heard the the bug-eyes are very difficult to get RID off and MY01 models are only fetching bottom book at 10 to 11k, unless its a particulary fine example with lots of dealer fitted mods. Although in a dealers hands he would put it up for 14 - 15k.

I think 10K for a MY00 classic with 93k is a rip-off, if you sold it 6 months later privatly you would be lucky to 7k.

im sorry but £9850 was a bargain price she is proper mint in and out 5ks worth of service history 1 owner
remember i only got the car 2 months ago
and i looked every were 4 the right car at the right priceand belive me that was a good deal
i could of got it a little cheaper private (possible) but i still seee them with more miles than mine 4up 4 more money and they are still selling fast
yeah u may get an inport with less miles on the clock well so it says
but since when do people only do 3 or 4 k a year?????????? i belive they are the people getting ripped

people will only pay what the car is worth, my MY00 PPP'd car sold just before xmas for 11995 (sale or return so dealer price) with 35k on the clock, full service history (fully documented will all receipts ), aircon, pd7 alloys, brembo/Ap brakes, said performance pack, immaculate in everyway
TBH your car wont fetch more than 10.5k but thats the market, you wont find many cars retaining 50% value after 3 years and as scoobs were 21k new and your car is nearly 4 years old.....
