sti back box - wrx

Question sti back box - wrx

Does anybody know if it is a straight swop from an sti8 to a 52 bugeye and are the insurance companys going to want their pound of flesh or would it be classed as a like for like?

sti8 not sure but, i fitted a bb off an sti7 to a MY02. its a bit of a pig to get the centre hanger to locate apart from that no probs.

btw told my ins co. no extra just noted it on my file. power increase is only about 2 or 3 hp but it does give a marginal better sound and looks better IMO

It is a straight swap mate, and as its an official subaru part, with an associated number then i would not think that you would have any real issue, if in doubt......keep the original BB.

I was with Subaru Insure (aka Schofields) helpful guys

now with LV mods dont seem to be an issue
