Unhappy Lambda Dead

Add Lambda to your list of consumables, along with MAF

PTMW! has been missing a bit on boost in 4th/5th. Not been too worried as it was due a service (82.5k), thought it maybe leads/plugs whatever.

Jason Crozier was @ ScoobySport when I came in today, along with his lappy, so he kindly plugged it in & we went out. After the first go at a bit of boost, advised me to tootle back to SS with an ultra-lite foot before I required another engine rebuild

Verdict - Dead Lambda sensor

Another reason to get a LambdaLink, which I actually have but not yet fitted ( ) and to replace the Lambda sensor on a regular (annual?) basis.

The Lambda, in conjunction with MAF is responsible for fueling. When it don't work, the engine runs well lean which will quite happily melt a piston

Thanks Jason & SS for saving me a few £££s

I thought a failing lambda = rich running (hence the increased petrol consumption!)
