Default MY03 Sti vs MY04 Sti

Alright chaps, i am just venting my anger an would like some of your views on this one !!
I ordered my Sti 4wks ago so i can get it for the 04 plate change, got a phone call from the dealership (Central Scotland) to tell me it was there, so i went yesterday to check it out & guess what its a MY03 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I told the salesman i wanted a MY04 but he tells me yesterday that they arent available until they have sold all the MY03's (its WR blue), now theres a rebadged 300R sitting in silver (registered) an its a MY04, there a black mica sitting & thats a MY04 so whats the problem with the WR blue, i am sooooooo pee'd off, i am so tempted to cancel the bloody order & go buy an Evo (sorry thats how angry i am) !!
Has anyone managed to get a MY04 WR blue in UK spec ??
Please guy some help would be great on this

Cheers

sti-04!!

I saw some my04 sti's in blue on the back of a car transporter last week so they are available. IMHO i would either get the dealer to sort one out or take your business to one who will.

Buying an 03 model is bound to have some impact on resale value.

Think about it, if in a year or two's time you wanted to buy a scooby and were looking at two practically identical cars, one being a 2004 and the other a 2003 model and they were both registered on the same day (in 2004) which one would you buy (assuming they're both in imaculate condition)? It would be the 2004 model every time.

Get a discount on the 03 or wait a few more days and buy an 04 from another dealer.

If you ordered a WR Blue 04 don't let the dealer fob you off with an 03, youre paying so its your choice whether to accept an 03 model on an 04 plate. Resale value is another issue, 03 model registered on an 04 plate, I can hear the dealer now when you come to trade it in???

You could always buy my silver 03 model with 19" arospeeds RSGT wheels and save a load of cash for mods......

mail me if youre interested

use the head mate. if you want an MY04 thats what you should get. cancel the bloody order mate, your paying good money here therefore it should be your choice. resale values will be effected if you sell within the near future.

i know what i would do. after all you only have a short time till new reg. i am sure if you visit any dealer just now and enquire to buy an 04 model, they will bite your hand off, and for certain you'll get an 04.

My04 vs 03??...don't forget the PPP upgrade will boost power to 320bhp on the MY04 version vs 305 for the MY03 version...well worth the haggling if you are thinking of the PPP upgrade when it's released

At least with an 03MY you can get the PPP kit quickly. How long will it be before the 04MY PPP kit is released?

Also, anyone know if the 04MY WRX PPP gets a power hike also? Ta
