Hi Phil,
Had a quick whiz throught the Autotrader valuation thingy, came up with trade price between £13k (52) to £14.3k (03). In the real world it'll probably be nearer £12-13.5k.

hello.. hows that car going???
those prices seem to ring true then with what a dealer mentioned to me earlier this week... he said about £14... if it were as new as a 53 plate!!!!.... they were offering brand new at just over £18k!!! and early 2003 MY03 quite a bit cheaper than that!
ps.. you got yours at a good price well!!

The car is awsome. Haven't had chance to put it to a full test yet with the weather and work etc but planning a little jaunt into the Dales next week
Already been to one meet including a convoy there, which was fun. Especially when a couple of "ordinary" cars got between us at a roundabout. Not for long
And the gang of kids waving us through a village was hilarious
Is it just me, or when we drive our Scoobs, do we all feel superior over everything else on the road ?

Good luck with your search, I'm sure it won't be long 'til you find what you want.

It's ridiculous how the cars depreciate now - I think it must be down to cheap finance - people can aford to borrow a bit more and buy new.
Mind you I can't complain - I financed 90% of mine as an opt out of the company car scheme - not bad to be driving a scoob fully financed by the company. Only thing is I need to keep it for two or more years to be able to get out and not lose money. I'll just have to suffer it!!

The only problem here is that a 52/03 could be a bugeye or mkIII.
Ive also been looking and you will do very well to get a MKIII for the price Parker quotes. £15,995 would be an excellent buy. My guess is that the trade in on an 03/03 would be around the £14,750-£15,000 mark.
This is still damn good for a car. 99% of people will not of paid more than £19k. Therefore a 20% loss in the first year is something to be proud of.

Not like Rovers yet.
List price on my 75 was £23270.
I bought it 10 months old, 10k miles for £10995.
Local dealer has the same spec car in, same age for £16995
Whoever buys at dealer prices must be mad.
