Horrible sound on boost

I'm getting an horrible sound the turbo kicks in - not the usual sweet whirl but a loud sound that doesn't sound healthy!! It last all the way until I ease of the gas

Any ideas pls?

Impeller catching? Sounds like IMHO.

Turbo went on a works van of ours and displayed similar symptoms,check all turbo/inlet hoses for splits that may be leaking and making the noise
