I am wondering why everyone always fobs over this topic when there are serious gains to be had.

Lots of people go on about different requirements from their insurance company but I don't believe a big company like privilege (whom I have approached) would not be able to deliver.

I am asking now that should it be required, would people be willing to provide a show of hands. I will somehow have to convince privilege of large volumes of people to take advantage of any such discounts.

I think some kind of petition will be in order but have no idea how set up such a thing.

Does any one have any other ideas/comments?

criticism welcome too!

(deserve a flaming for asking for one, surely!)

PS. this is not in the insurance column cos it isn't about insurance, it's about teamwork.

I agree. The amount of cash that we as a collective hand over to the theiving gits who run insurance companies, must be unbelievable!!!

Count me in.

Thumbs up

Only just bought my Scooby and had to swap insurance companies.
There is no harm in trying for a discount and a saving is always welcome.
Personally, I went for Octavia via GreenLight as they are more open to modified cars.
Good Luck ....

Reason I chose privilege is because they operate a lot of cool stuff.

They allow modifieds, they are already v competitive as they provide a lot of our insurance already. They go to 70% no claims. They operate masterdrive - take one two hour lesson and get 10% off your insurance for ever. Recommend someone and get £10 off next years policy etc.

Anyhoo, don't want to be rude, but can we keep this thread to just the topic inhand, and not post bits about who you are insured with already etc.

We have much buying power and I would like to take advantage of this, I just want to know how to approach this.

The bbs' are tighter knit than the sidc as communication is stronger, it also has more members/users. Is there anyone up/out there who wants to handle this as an offical bbs/22b.com venture.

I haver the contact details already of who should be spoken to.

Its just that I feel like a bit of a fraud at the mo as I am not really in position to speak for anyone else, more of a sheep than a shepherd.

Does someone want to take the reins?

If not at least some suggestions.
