jus looked at them spec n cannot feel like 2 kick meself in d r$e, just ordered the MYO4 jdm sti n to arrive sometimes in march after LOOOOTTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSSSS of thinking n to find out there is a 'new' scooby n the mrket[img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] dooh!

dont see the point personally, its just a my cars better than your car if you ask me, ok so its got a type 25 badge on the back, get a my03/4 jdm add a miltek, 3 port boost solenoid, panel filter and a remap and your good for 350/370+ without a doubt, and it probably wont cost you more than 27k for a brand spanker, all imho of course, also if you can import yourself, you can probably do all the above for 22k, some people may have money to burn, fair play to them, but i aint one of them, i work hard for my money and if i can a car just as good with same performance for 10k cheaper then ill do that. Oh im sorry somoene mentioned this one has an extra cup holder, in that case i take it all back

less lag and higher power potential as the type 25 is a 2.5 engine.

that in itself is nothing amazing though as US sti has this as standard

I recall iain saying this has the same suspension components and thus geometry as the spec c, which the US sti (LHD) does not.

Would need to ask him as this may not be the case sionce it doesn't appear to be in that spec.

 

It will be fantastic £32995 my guess all sorted from the word go, just imagine 350 pounds + of torque that should pull a house down!!

Taking my JDM STi9 in for it's service at the end of the month. Ian is going to let me have a drive of the type25.

Should be a good comparison 2.0ltr vs. 2.5ltr.

So essentially this a Jap Spec STi with a US 2.5ltr lump, new exhaust and a remap or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Take my word for it, it is a very quick machine.

 

That is essentially what it is, a JDM STi with the USDM 2.5L STi engine in it.

Would I get one? well, yes, I thought I would, if I was in the position for a new car.

As for doing the same yourself, well, you could with a 2.0 engine, but this has a 2.5 engine, which in US spec is by default 300bhp, and that is with it setup for US emmissions and fuel, if you were to get one of those and map it for optimax, I'm sure it'd make a wee bit more than 300. So yeah, for just the power aspect, yeah you could possibly get a cheap STi8 (though a 9 would be better, a 9 being JDM STi), but this is not just the engine, there's other bits on it too.

Have to give a big thumbs up to Litchfield's for this, a very impressive car.

 

A 2.5 litre engine makes a completely different car to a 2.0. The grunt is almost instant from any speed and massive. Peak figures only tell part of the story. 2.5 doesn't weight obviously any different from the 2.0. It is the same external size of block with bigger bores and longer stroke
