Can't recommend a garage I'm afraid but if you do find a good place they should be able to give advice on the legal tint limits. Have you checked with your insurer that they will let you tint - some don't.

You may not tint the windscreen I believe and my understanding is that the MAXIMUM tint you are legally allowed will allow 30% of the available light to pass through the glass on the sides and rear.
This may not sound much but it's suprising. Our car has 50% sides and 35% rear, there are some pics of it in the For Sale forum.
Can't help you on where, 'cos I'm in Hull

Have a look at this thread in the Gallery CLICK HERE
They are based in Margate and I believe they do window tints. Haven't used them myself but worth a look.

you have to have a minimum of 30% on the front, but you can tint the rear passender and rear windscreen as much as you want.
I did hear that Elephant for example wouldnt insure a car with tints.
But in reality if you had to take them out in a hurry is only a 15 job, its removing the gunk it leaves behind thats the pain.
The feds can stop you if they are too dark in the front, then get their testing machine out and tell you what level they are. If they are too dark then they will make you take them out, not sure about points or a fine though. Make sure that if you have them fitted and they say they are legal you get something in writing off them, as a mate was told they were legal, then the police tested them and they were outside the limit.
Cheers,
Andy
