LONDON, 31 May 00: An actor who played the part of 'Bungle' from Kids TV
show, Rainbow, has been accused of a road rage attack by a mother-of-five.
Stanley Bates, 58, is alleged to have grabbed Christine Marconi through her
window as he yelled abuse. She said: "It was frightening. I always thought
Bungle was a nice friendly creature."
Bates, who played the part of the clumsy bear for twenty years, has been
questioned by police and may face charges, reports The Suntoday. Zippy and
George refused to comment
