hi all
have just bought my first scooby and wow what a car goes like hell.
for the first 3 days was cool but today it will only rev to4500rpm
the engine management light is coming on when limiter hit?
it only revs to 4500 rpm when not in gear aswell?
its a p plate 96 wrx import wagon im the first uk owner.:
any ideas would be gratfull.

 

put a shout out for grease monkey he seems pretty switched on

My type R had similar symptoms - it was the lambda sensor in the downpipe that had gone faulty.. hope this helps..

 

try posting in the technical section with a heading like "engine won't rev over 4,500rpm" rather then "hi All" and you will definately get a better response
