Whats under the bonnet (literally)
Just had a repair done to the bonnet on the scoob (Respray). When giving it a good check over i opened the bonnet and it seemed somewhat empty underneath, only one section of padding right down the middle . I can't remember what it was like before, has anyone got any pics of the underside of their bonnet (not the engine)or can you describe how much padding / soundproofing etc there is,

as i recall on my old UK '97 there was like a piece of foam on part of the underside of the bonnet, only mainly missing from the front headlight corners as it were. I'll try & dig as pikky out later as i'm sure i'll have one sumewhere but i sadly dont have a folder labelled funny foam stuff hanging off bonnet so maybe a bit of a mission finding it

Yep, as scoobysi says. Mine (MY97) has black foam covering the inside of bonnet except for a few inches at the edges. Heat reflector metalic section in the middle of the bonnet over the top of the foam material.
Just had a look at my MY94 STI. There is a one piece padding clipped to the bonnet down to the scoop front and extends down each side of the scoop. It is triangular and does not cover the whole underside. Sounds as though yours is correct.
